Joplin Adult Education and Literacy (AEL) serves an average of 235 students per year. We prepare over 75 students each school year for passing the HiSET high school equivalency examination.
Every year, the Joplin program exceeds DESE federal targets for students entering post-secondary education and employment status.
We help numerous people pass the NCRC®, ASVAB®, CAST®, ACT®, SAT®, and TEAS® tests. In addition, 25 or more English language learners acquire better mastery of the English language.
On average, 125 students a year successfully increase grade-level progression on the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE®) in reading, math, and writing in order to reach their short- and long-term personal, educational, and career goals.
